The Professional Company Presents

Glorious!
The True Story of Florence Foster Jenkins, the Worst Singer in the World
by Peter Quilter

Glorious! is just that: and what makes it remarkable is it’s all true. Mostly. The play definitely celebrates the eccentric and off-pitch antics onstage and off of Jenkins. If Jenny Lind was the Swedish nightingale, Jenkins was New York’s screeching jay. Eccentric, delusional, but determined, Jenkins joyfully warbled her way to celebrity – and a triumphant score at Carnegie Hall. Equally heart-warming and hilarious, and one-of-a-kind. Just like Florence. You’ll find yourself laughing with her, not at her, and the era that made her a star.
