The Professional Company Presents
by Katori Hall
In this Olivier Award-winning play, author Katori Hall imagines what may have taken place in Room 306 of the Lorraine Motel in Memphis, TN on the eve of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s assassination in 1968. On this historic final night, an exhausted King is visited by a hotel maid who, over coffee and cigarettes, leads him to confront his fears, hopes, dreams, and regrets. As he considers his legacy in this world, King must grapple with the bridge between mortality and immortality.
