(REVISED 4/21/2022)
- Please Note: the Winnipesaukee Playhouse reserves the right to alter these guidelines as necessary.
- All students choosing to participate in all Winnipesaukee Playhouse Education Department programming who are eligible for COVID-19 vaccination are required to be fully vaccinated (and provide proof of such) by their first day of participation. “Fully vaccinated” is defined as having received at least two doses of Pfizer or Moderna (plus two weeks) OR one dose of Johnson & Johnson plus (two weeks.) Exemptions to this requirement will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Please email timothy@winniplayhouse.org if you have questions or concerns about this policy. Note: boosters are strongly encouraged where appropriate based on age and timing of doses. This is not currently a requirement, but may become one in the future.
- Staff working directly with students will also be fully vaccinated.
- When it comes to masks and other precautions…
- The Playhouse will consult the precautions recommended by the CDC based on “Community Level.” Levels can be “low,” “medium,” or “high” and each come with different recommendations. Levels are determined by looking at data by county: hospital beds being used, hospital admissions, and the total number of new COVID-19 cases in an area. The CDC data by county (and more information about how it is collected and used) is publicly available here: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/your-health/covid-by-county.html
- There may, however, be instances where the Playhouse requires precautions above and beyond the CDC recommendations. If that is the case, we will communicate that clearly to everyone.
- Anyone who feels more comfortable doing so, is of course welcome to wear a mask at any time.
- By allowing students to attend Education Department programming, parents/guardians are attesting to the student’s health status each day. STUDENTS SHOULD NOT ATTEND REHEARSAL IF THEY ARE EXPERIENCING ANY OF THE FOLLOWING SYMPTOMS:
-Bad Cough
-Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
-Chills
-Repeated shaking with chills
-Muscle pain
-Headache
-Sore throat
-Loss of taste or smell
-Diarrhea
-Feeling feverish or a measured temperature greater than or equal to 100.0 degrees Fahrenheit
-Known close contact with a person who is lab confirmed to have COVID-19
- Cases of students who experience these symptoms will be handled on a case-by-case basis and we may require documentation of a negative COVID-19 test (rapid test or PCR) before returning to rehearsal. In these situations, we want to work with you to do what’s best for everyone involved in the production.
- COVID protocols for audiences are posted HERE.
