Learn about The Winnipesaukee Playhouse Education Department!
Educational programming at the Winnipesaukee Playhouse takes the form of fully realized productions, classroom instruction and exploration, field trips, professional apprenticeships, school and community outreach, teacher training, arts advocacy, and educational materials in support of professional and community theatre productions.
From summer theatre camp to talk-backs, Theatre for Young Audiences to backstage tours, there is truly something for everyone in the Education Department.
Summer Theatre Camp
Our integrated arts summer camps offer students ages 5-14 the opportunity to let their creativity shine. With age-appropriate instruction in theatre, art, music, and movement, our one and two-week programs allow students to explore technique, storytelling, physicality, improvisation, and more led by professional, friendly instructors. Check back soon for information about Summer Camp 2025! |
The Winnipesaukee Playhouse Education Department promotes the developmentally appropriate acquisition of theatrical skills, fosters a life-long appreciation of the technique, history, and literature of theatre and its ancillary fields of study, and—above all—seeks to inspire its students to use theatre as a tool to develop empathy, with which they may explore and come to better understand the world.
