Professional Theatre for Young Audiences
Professional Theatre for Young Audiences is a perfect introduction for young students to high-quality professional theatre. Our schools' packages include free workshops either in-class or at the Playhouse, suggested lesson plans and educational materials, tours of the theatre grounds, and other additional activities. Each performance also includes an optional post-show talkback with the actors and crew who will answer your students' questions and talk with them about the show and how live theatre is made.

Summer Theatre Camp
Our integrated arts summer camps offer students ages 5-14 the opportunity to let their creativity shine. With age-appropriate instruction in theatre, art, music, and movement, our one and two-week programs allow students to explore technique, storytelling, physicality, improvisation, and more led by professional, friendly instructors. Check back soon for information about Summer Camp 2025!

Education Department Shows

Each year we offer between two and four fully staged productions for ages 8-18. These professionally-produced plays and musicals rehearse in the afternoons and evenings and culminate in high-quality performances that are open to the public.

The Winnipesaukee Playhouse Education Department promotes the developmentally appropriate acquisition of theatrical skills, fosters a life-long appreciation of the technique, history, and literature of theatre and its ancillary fields of study, and—above all—seeks to inspire its students to use theatre as a tool to develop empathy, with which they may explore and come to better understand the world.
